Chankanaab National Park
is a beautiful natural zone located at the ocean side road, in Cozumel Island. The Chankanaab Park was decreed National Park and a conservation area for shelter, refuge and protection for endemic flora and incredible marine fauna, in 1980. The word “Chankanaab” comes from the Mayan language: “chan” means small, and “kanaab” is ocean, and it makes reference to the natural water formation that is located inside the park.
This amazing marine park, among their natural beauties, boasts a modern aquarium, dolphinarium, and also features different species of turtles, coral and tropical fish, and here, our visitors have lots of options to enjoy, such as scuba diving, snorkel… and swim with dolphins!
Park schedule: Daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 pm
